- There was a 17% jump in the proportion of private sector renters working in higher managerial and professional occupations, and today they make up almost one in six.
- The proportion of private sector renters who own small businesses rose by 30% since 2011 – and there were over 660,000 at the latest count.
- Renting is becoming a more popular lifestyle choice in the UK and new providers are entering the market to meet the rising demand.
